Hand-picked by Professor Dolores Umbridge during her time as Headmistress of Hogwarts, the Inquisitorial Squad was a group of students who were given the authority to take points off fellow students in order to ensure compliance amongst the student population. However, as the Inquisitorial Squad was made up entirely of Slytherins, they often abused their power to dock points from the other houses, as well as doling out violent punishment for inconsequential misdemeanours to their peers.
