And if you’ve never discovered your Hogwarts house with the Sorting Hat before, here’s how it works.
1. Answer the Sorting Hat’s questions
Upon starting the Sorting Ceremony, the Sorting Hat will ask you some interesting questions, that will help it understand your personality a little better. Some of the questions will be simple, some will be a little more interactive, and you’ll even get to choose a Hogwarts pet along the way. The key is not to think too much about your answers – go with your instincts! The hat wants to know your natural inclinations.
2. Discover your house
Once the Sorting Hat has made its decision, you will discover your true Hogwarts house, be it Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin. From there, you’ll be able to learn a little more about your house, and even get a message from your house prefect.
3. Discover more about your new Hogwarts house
We’re sure you know the basics – if you’re a Gryffindor, you’re brave and determined. If you’re a Ravenclaw, you’re wise and witty. If you’re a Hufflepuff, you’re patient and loyal. And if you’re a Slytherin, you’re ambitious and cunning. But it can go deeper than that. Here’s a few friendly collections that will teach you even more about your house, which Harry Potter characters you share it with, and some fun facts you might not have known about your house founder.

4. And what if I don’t like my house?
Now, don’t be silly. There is extreme value in every one of the four Hogwarts houses, despite any murmurings you may have heard certain ones… Actually, there is a lot to love about every house – with each boasting a rich history and a host of extraordinary wizards and witches. For example, did you know the inventor of Floo Powder came from Ravenclaw? Or that the great Merlin himself was, in fact, a Slytherin? What about the fact that the great Auror, Nymphadora Tonks was a Hufflepuff? And of course, Harry Potter himself hailed from Gryffindor.
