The Gryffindor common room could be found in Gryffindor Tower, and was accessible with a password given to the portrait of The Fat Lady. A circular room decorated in the house colours of red and gold, the Gryffindor common room was filled with cosy sofas next to a roaring fire, perfect for finishing homework or holding parties after Quidditch victories, and had circular staircases that led up to the students' dormitories.
