Quirinus Quirrell arrived at Hogwarts as Harry Potter's first Defence Against the Dark Arts professor after a year long sabbatical travelling the world. Quirrell was a nervous man, distinctive for his stutter and turban, although it became clear that there was more to Professor Quirrell than a lack of confidence.
