Portkey Games' latest offering shows the breadth of games for different audiences that the label is creating - collaborating with a number of innovative developers.

Hot on the heels of recent mobile games Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and Wizards Unite, Zynga Inc. (makers of CSR Racing and Words With Friends) are soft launching Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells in select markets.

Licensed from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and published under the Portkey Games label (you can read more about Portkey Games here), the game promises to weave match-3 puzzle gameplay with the characters, narrative, settings, spell-casting and, of course, magical mischief of the Wizarding World. We know very well that Harry Potter quizzes, puzzles and other brain teasers have always been as popular as a swift Butterbeer down The Three Broomsticks – so this should be right up your (Diagon) alley!

In the game, players create a persona then go on to unlock exclusive Wizarding World elements such as new spells and brewing potions. They will also encounter iconic moments and memorable faces from the Harry Potter films. Users will swish and flick through matching puzzles and other obstacles, earning experience points along the way.

As well as being able to level up their skills and spells alongside customising their unique in-game personas, players will also be able to form clubs and join forces with other fans to socialise and participate in special in-game cooperative activities. Sounds like you’ll be able to put together your own version of Dumbledore’s Army amongst your friends, in other words.
