Max has been announced as the new streaming service that will serve as the home of the upcoming scripted Harry Potter series. But what is Max, and what do we know so far?

Update 3: Max is rolling out across MORE of Europe as of today, 10th June - get ready, France and Poland! And if you're in the Netherlands, you'll see that your HBO Max has had a makeover.

Update 2: Max is beginning to roll out across Europe, with countries including Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, to name a few. More Max launches can be expected across more European countries in June.

Update 3: Max is now officially in Latin America! Countries include Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina & Chile. That means all of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films are now in your territory! Learn more at the Max website about your territory.

Max promises to be “the one to watch” and will serve as an enhanced streaming service that aims to include all of your favourites, launching today. Following in the footsteps of HBO Max, Max will combine everything you love and add more Originals, including our new Harry Potter series!

Promising to be a new destination for “craveable entertainment”, subscribing to Max will promise viewers a smorgasbord of popular TV series and movies from iconic brands and treasured franchises.

The library will have variety across beloved genres including hit movies, original series, plus a bountiful library of fan-favorite brands and studios like HBO, the DC Universe, HGTV, TLC, Magnolia Network, Food Network and Adult Swim.

And, of course, it bears repeating: this will be the place to watch the newly announced Harry Potter TV series when it airs (though the date for that has not yet been confirmed)! But there’s plenty to keep you occupied before all of that comes around.

More details about Max will come soon! But if you're in the US or Latin America, you can visit the official Max website right now.
