The story of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened takes place 10 years after the events of the Battle of Hogwarts, where you’ll encounter both new and familiar professors, innovative magical challenges, and partake in your own unique Hogwarts experience, all presented through a gorgeous, picture-book art style not seen across any of the other offerings under the Portkey Games label so far.
In this trailer, we meet several familiar faces from the Harry Potter stories we recognise well (with Hagrid appearing frequently as your friendly guide) alongside spells, classes and magical creatures we know and love too. But there are also some fascinating extra features to look forward to, such as extensive duelling in the Duelling Club, trips to the Forbidden Forest, flying around Hogwarts grounds, and a fun-looking feature called Dance Club, which feels reminiscent of the Yule Ball, complete with resplendent outfits.
As the game progresses, you will learn spells that can be cast through the form of cards. Players will need to perfect these spells, devise unique strategies and form winning combinations to excel at Hogwarts – all the while conquering other challenging trials, duelling other players and much more.
