Following productions in London, New York, San Francisco, Melbourne and Hamburg, with another in Toronto on the way, Cursed Child is gradually making its way around the world. Next stop: Tokyo.

This is the first time the award-winning play will be opening in Asia and also marks the second non-English language version, following the German production now playing in Hamburg.

The play will be produced in Japan by TBS and HoriPro (who also look after Asian productions of Billy Elliot the Musical and Mary Poppins) and will run as part of TBS’s 70th anniversary celebrations. The dynamic theatre will also be undergoing a major renovation in anticipation for Cursed Child’s arrival and will open as a site-specific venue especially for the occasion!

We can’t wait to see Cursed Child brought to life in a whole new continent.
