The immersive ‘story coaster’ experience, which is themed around Hagrid and his love of magical creatures, launched back in June at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Orlando Resort. You might remember that we were there to have a spin ourselves!

Now, the ride has been recognised by the Themed Entertainment Association, winning the Outstanding Achievement Award 2019. The TEA Thea Awards celebrate the best in themed experiences and innovations, such as theme parks and other destination attractions.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is unique in pushing the boundaries of coaster-technology, featuring huge vertical drops, a real-life Forbidden Forest comprised of over 1,200 trees, and an animated Hagrid figure, narrated by Robbie Coltrane himself.

A big congrats to the whole team involved in the ride, and here’s to many more flights on that iconic motorbike.
