The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tour has just revealed its full cast - and you can expect a few familiar faces! Starting in Chicago, September 2024, take a look at this talented ensemble of actors taking on some of your favourite characters.

The cast is a brilliant combination of old and new, with some of the actors having had experience in the hit play before.

Fresh from his work on the San Francisco run of Cursed Child, John Skelley will once again take the reigns of Harry Potter while Trish Lindstrom returns as Ginny Potter after taking on the role in the Toronto production. Meanwhile, Emmett Smith will join the Cursed Child family for the first time playing Harry's son, Albus.

Matt Mueller is back as Ron Weasley (he originally played Harry's best friend during the Broadway production) while Ebony Blake moves from ensemble cast to starring as Hermione Granger. Naiya Vanessa McCalla will play their daughter Rose Granger-Weasley.

In the Malfoy camp, Ben Thys will don the blond wig to play a grown-up Draco Malfoy with Aidan Close joining him as his son Scorpius Malfoy.

Delphi Diggory will be played by Julia Nightingale.

They are joined by a super-talented supporting ensemble case including Kaleb Alexander, Julianna Austin, Markcus Blair, Casey Butler, Erin Chupinsky, Reese Sebastian Diaz, David Fine, Simon Gagnon, Alexis Gordon, Caleb Hafen, Lauryn Hayes, Nathan Hosner, Torsten Johnson, Katherine Leask, Markelle Leigh, Mackenzie Lesser-Roy, Evan Maltby, Zach Norton, Travis Patton, Maren Searle, Ayla Stackhouse, Jennifer Thiessen, Timmy Thompson, René Thornton Jr., Kristin Yancy, and Larry Yando playing a variety of characters.


Harry Potter and the Cursed Child embarks upon its first-ever North American tour this September, with previews beginning at Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre on the 10th of September.

The official opening will be Thursday, 26th September. The final performance of the 21-week engagement will be Saturday, 1st of February, 2025 followed by engagements at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles and at the National Theatre in Washington DC.
