The cream of Wizarding World talent, from Noma Dumezweni to Jude Law, have joined forces to tell the stories of Beedle the Bard for the first time in audio, in support of J.K. Rowling’s charity Lumos.

Jude Law, Warwick Davis, Noma Dumezweni, Jason Isaacs, Evanna Lynch, Bonnie Wright and Sally Mortemore have come together to record J.K. Rowling’s collection The Tales of Beedle the Bard: the first time the book has been brought to life in audio. With the audiobook available for pre-order today from Audible, here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new reimagining.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard was first referenced in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the fictional selection of fairy tales that wizarding children grew up with. Within this collection of fables was the origin story of the Deathly Hallows, ‘The Tale of the Three Brothers’, which taught Harry about the three most powerful objects in the wizarding world.

In 2008, J.K. Rowling transformed this fictional work into something far more real, releasing the short selection of tales for charity.

Now, over a decade later, the audiobook will feature the voices of talent representing all quarters of the Wizarding World – from the Harry Potter films, to the Fantastic Beasts films and the Cursed Child play. Here’s the whole list:

• Jude Law (Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts film series) reading Albus Dumbledore’s notes
• Warwick Davis (Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter film series) reading ‘The Wizard and the Hopping Pot’
• Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger in the original West End and Broadway runs of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child) reading ‘The Tale of the Three Brothers’
• Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series) reading ‘The Warlock's Hairy Heart’
• Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series) reading ‘The Fountain of Fair Fortune’
• Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter film series) reading ‘Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump’
• Sally Mortemore (Madame Pince in the Harry Potter film series) reading J.K. Rowling’s introduction

The Tales of Beedle the Bard will be released 31 March.

Until then, you can pre-order it exclusively with Audible right here in the UK, here in the US, or here for Canada.
