The wizarding world is home to many stylish witches and wizards - from Tonks and her bubble-gum pink hair, to Dumbledore and his majestic beard. But who would be your inspiration? We’ve decided who your fashion icon would be based on your personality.

If you have a fun and punky vibe … your inspiration would be Nymphadora Tonks

The great thing about being a Metamorphmagus is that you don’t have to stick to one particular style. Tonks certainly didn’t. But while she liked to change up her appearance, she never lost her punky vibe. Whether she was rocking different hair in various shades of pink and purple, looking fierce in her chunky black boots, or wearing The Weird Sisters band T-shirt with distressed jeans – she always looked cool. If you’re the type of person that likes to have fun with fashion, keeps a bit of an edge and doesn’t take how they look too seriously, then Tonks would be your style inspiration.

If you have a flair for the dramatic… your inspiration would be Albus Dumbledore

Albus Dumbledore certainly knows how to make an entrance. With his glorious beard and splendid robes, in opulent fabrics like velvet and silk – he’s certainly earned his reputation as one very stylish wizard. He’s never afraid to wear an extravagant outfit, whatever the occasion, and we doubt he would mind if people stopped and stared. So, if you like to put yourself out there when it comes to fashion, love big statement pieces and carry your outfits with confidence, then Dumbledore is the fashion icon for you.

If you’re a fan of all things twee… your inspiration would be Dolores Umbridge

Dolores Umbridge was a heinous woman, but she definitely had her own style. Who can forget her signature pink? Or her penchant for bows? Her style screamed warm, fuzzy and twee. So, if your wardrobe is full of sugary hues, then Umbridge is probably your fashion icon. However, just because you share a love of all things kitsch, it doesn’t mean you share any of her other personality traits. While Umbridge’s insidious nature always managed to seep out, no matter how cute her outfit was, we don’t reckon it would be the same for you. In fact, we think you would pull-off such a look with aplomb – bows and all.

If you keep up with the latest styles… your inspiration would be Gilderoy Lockhart

Are you somebody that likes to keep ahead of the latest trends? Do you always like to look your best, with no hair out of place? Do you think it is important to take pride in your appearance? Then your style icon is Gilderoy Lockhart. With his (five time) award-winning smile, perfectly coiffed hair and robes in luxurious fabrics and beautiful colours – Lockhart is one stylish wizard. It doesn’t matter whether he’s frolicking in the halls of Hogwarts or signing books in Flourish and Blotts, Lockhart always looks on point – and he knows it.

If you’re a fan of knitwear… your inspiration would be the Weasleys

The Weasley family may not immediately spring to mind when you think of the fashion icons of the wizarding world. But they should – and it’s all down to their excellent array of knitwear. Molly Weasley is certainly talented and the ever-growing collection of Weasley jumpers is testament to that. Who can’t admire a well-knitted maroon or emerald-green garment? So, if you like nothing better than wrapping up warm in your finest jumper, cardigan or sweater vest, we can imagine that you would be thrilled upon receiving one of Molly Weasley’s signature knits.

If you have an eccentric and unique look… your inspiration would be Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood is a real individual. Whether she is wearing her Spectrespecs, Butterbeer cork necklace, radish earrings or all three at once – there’s nobody with a style quite like Luna’s. We can imagine that if Luna is your icon, then you’re the type of person who enjoys finding one-of-a-kind pieces in vintage shops, is unafraid of clashing prints, doesn’t like to adhere to mainstream fashion and knows how to create your own colourful accessories. We can just see the two of you now, discussing where to find the best vegetable shaped earrings and creating unique homemade accessories.

If you love the colour black… your inspiration would be Severus Snape

Are you somebody that recoils at the sight of a vibrant print or colourful ensemble? Do you find yourself always checking whether that coveted item comes in black? Do you spend your summers far too hot, but refuse to deviate from your gothic colour palette? Then your fashion icon would be Severus Snape. There is no doubt that Snape has a particular look, and that the colour black was an integral part of that. With his swishy cloak and robes in various of shades of… well black, Snape demonstrated a real commitment to the dark and mysterious look. He even reminded some people of a giant bat – and if you find that to be an appealing comparison, then Snape is the fashionista for you.
