Our new illustration series is all about dragons. Because who doesn’t love dragons? Let’s start off with this fiery fellow, the Swedish Short-Snout.

We all know there be dragons in the wizarding world (just ask Hagrid) and each one has its own little, er, little quirks. Artist Dan Mumford has created these huge interpretations of the dragons featured in the Harry Potter books and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them for your enjoyment.

This week, to celebrate the days running up to the anniversary of the first Triwizard task in Goblet of Fire, we’re looking at the four that Harry, Fleur Delacour, Cedric Diggory and Viktor Krum had to face one-on-one. What a fun kids’ activity that was.

In the task, the Swedish Short-Snout was taken on by Cedric Diggory.

There are plenty more dragons where the Swedish Short-Snout came from; check in tomorrow to meet another. Clue: Fleur Delacour took on this particular species during the Triwizard Tournament.
