Are you in the market for some new Harry Potter goodies? Well, with Back to Hogwarts season round the corner, can we tempt you with some of this magical merch?

Every September, we celebrate Back to Hogwarts Day, where Harry Potter fans come together from all across the world to commemorate the moment young witches and wizards set off for Hogwarts. And just because we can’t go to the famous wizarding school ourselves, that certainly doesn’t mean that we can’t treat ourselves to some Back to Hogwarts goodies.

So, in the vein of a young Harry Potter, crack open your Hogwarts trunk and let’s get packing.

Your acceptance letter now comes in many forms

Some things never change: no matter how old we get, we still think about that wondrous (yet sadly hypothetical) delight of receiving our very own Hogwarts invitation letter. In the Harry Potter Shop, you can take your love of this iconic piece of Owl Post to the next level, with this range of Hogwarts letter themed clothes, accessories and homeware.

Hogwarts School Trunks

Witches and wizards tend to be quite old-fashioned when it comes to aesthetics (wearing wizard robes, living in an ancient castle, using quills instead of pens...) so you’re far more likely to see a young Hogwarts student boarding the Hogwarts Express with a trunk on a trolley rather than a wheelie suitcase. In the spirit of our magical friends, the Harry Potter shop features these gorgeous gift trunks – and you can even choose what goes in there.

LEGO® Harry Potter™ sets

Our friends at The LEGO Group absolutely love getting ready to go Back to Hogwarts, just as much as we do! Be sure to check out their Diagon Alley™ set, which includes various wizarding shops and a smorgasbord of adorable minifigures. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes fans can also cause mischief with Fred and George's joke shop.

While you can take a look at the LEGO website to browse all the sets, there are some upcoming new ones to make some new space for.

This upcoming Gringotts™ Wizarding Bank – Collectors’ Edition (available 4th September!) comes complete with goblins and a Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon.

You can learn more about that set here!

And! This gorgeous LEGO® Harry Potter™ Hogwarts™ Castle and Grounds set (available on 1st September) is also available to pre-order now. The set celebrates Hogwarts in its finest detail, complete with a whole host of accessories.

Personalised wands

They say the wand chooses the wizard – but now, you can make your wand extra-personal to you. At the Harry Potter shop, you can pick a special engraving on your wand-of-choice, be it a spell, a book quote, your name, or perhaps a date that holds sentimental value to you?

Cuddly creature companions

Upon attending Hogwarts, students are traditionally allowed to bring an owl, cat or toad. But, as is often the case with Hogwarts, students have a tendency to bend those rules. Remember Lee Jordan’s tarantula? Or Ginny’s Pygmy Puff, Arnold? And isn’t Ron’s pet rat Scabbers also technically a bit off-piste? Don’t get us started on Hagrid.

Nonetheless, the Harry Potter shop has a selection of cuddly friends for you to pick up and call your own, inspired by the pets of our favourite characters.

Personalised robes

We’re guessing you’re no slouch and you already know your Hogwarts house, right? Right?? (If not, quick! You can find yours here...) And what better way to represent your house than with your very own, personalised Hogwarts robe? Boasting the colours of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Hufflepuff in the robe’s lining, you can even have your name embroidered on to the garment. And get this – there’s even a secret wand pocket.

School supplies

Okay, if we’re going back to Hogwarts – we’re going to need a few extra things besides our wand and robes. A bit of stationary… perhaps a water bottle... a bookmark would be nice... a big mug shaped like a cauldron... OK, we want a lot of things. This Amazon selection has a lot of great stuff that would have us running to our Gringotts vault for!

Books and cleverness

Of course, the most important thing about going to Hogwarts is getting your education! (Okay, the talking portraits and the ghosts and the Forbidden Forest are also pretty cool. However!)

Although we can’t offer you a copy of that strange book from the Restricted Section that won’t stop screaming, there are so many exciting real-life books to snap up for your bookcase this year that will make you feel like a proper Hogwarts student.

The Hogwarts Library Box Set is the perfect selection of tomes for any budding witch or wizard, from Quidditch Through the Ages to the Tales of Beedle the Bard.
