Written, edited, printed and distributed by Xenophilius Lovegood, The Quibbler started as a fringe publication that focused on rumours and conspiracy theories, such as the existence of the Crumple-Horned Snorkack and Sirius Black's 'secret identity'. It gradually grew in popularity and reputability, however, as it continued to support Harry Potter's account of the return of Lord Voldemort while The Daily Prophet remained in denial.
