Broomstick

While most Muggles think of a broomstick as a handy tool for keeping their houses clean, in the wizarding world, brooms are not only a useful mode of transportation, but also essential for the game of Quidditch. Regulated by the Ministry of Magic's Broom Regulatory Control, flying brooms ranged from the very basic to top of the range. Harry Potter has been lucky enough to hold two of the best: a Nimbus 2000, and later, a state-of-the-art Firebolt. Broomsticks can be bought from a number of places, most notably Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley, and are one of the most sought-after magical objects for Hogwarts students.
