The Chudley Cannons

The Chudley Cannons were a professional English Quidditch team that played in the British and Irish Quidditch League. Although the Chudley Cannons had enjoyed huge success in their past, winning the League Cup twenty-one times, their last victory was in 1892. Since then, success had been less forthcoming. As such, the team’s motto "We Shall Conquer" was changed in 1972 to "Let's all just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best." Ron Weasley was a fan of the Cannons despite their disappointing run of results and had covered his room in posters of the team in their vivid orange robes.
