One male student and one female student were chosen in their final year at Hogwarts to be the Head Boy and Head Girl of the school. Chosen for their academic success, reputation as a student and for their good character, the Head Boy and Girl were tasked with managing the school's Prefects and leading the student body. Head Boys included Tom Riddle, Bill Weasley, Albus Dumbledore and James Potter whilst Lily Evans was Head Girl.
