A wand shop founded in 382 BC, Ollivanders was an ancient shop run by an old family of wand makers for generations. In Harry's time, Garrick Ollivander was the shop's owner, who sold wands to all the Hogwarts students. It was here that Harry discovered his own wand, and also that it was closely connected to Lord Voldemort's - sharing the same phoenix feather core.
