Lavender Brown was a Gryffindor student in the same school year as Harry Potter. Along with best friend and partner in gossiping, Parvati Patil, Lavender loved Divination and firmly believed in being able to tell the future through crystal balls and tea leaves. Lavender shared a dormitory with Hermione Granger but the two never saw eye to eye, particularly when Lavender revealed her romantic interest in Ron Weasley in their sixth year at school.
