From Thursday 20th August, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London will be inviting fans back to enjoy the iconic film sets, props and costumes from the Harry Potter films once again, after closing its doors earlier this year in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upon re-opening, the Studio Tour will be inviting guests back in a reduced capacity and instigating appropriate health and safety measures. Visitors will be required to wear face coverings, while the whole tour will, of course, be following social distancing guidelines.
Take a look at the Studio Tour’s official website to get the full list of protective guidelines that the staff will be putting in place to ensure you have a safe and happy experience during your visit.
Alongside all the usual sets, props and costumes on display, the Studio Tour will be inviting fans to visit their latest feature: A Celebration of Slytherin! For the first time, visitors will see the Great Hall set adorned in Slytherin’s house colours, and on top of that, will be given a first look at the Slytherin common room! As seen for the first time in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, fans will be able to marvel at a 25-ft section of the set, featuring authentic props and the famous dungeon-style stone walls. The special feature will run until 12th November, so maybe you’d like to dust off your finest green ensembles if you do decide to visit
Geoff Spooner, SVP & General Manager spoke of being ‘thrilled’ at the news of the re-opening, reinstating the importance of the new safety measures.
‘We’re thrilled to be able to open the doors to the Hogwarts Great Hall to visitors once again,’ he said. ‘While the Studio Tour experience may differ from previous visits as we introduce additional safety measures, we’re looking forward to welcoming fans back into the world of Harry Potter for a truly magical day out.’
You'll be able to purchase Studio Tour tickets from 1pm, 6th August. Booking availabilites currently cater for visits up to 30th June 2021. So, keep an eye on your calendars and remember to keep safe if you plan on making a visit!
