Coming this August, get ready for the eBook and audiobook: From the Wizarding Archive. This project gathers J.K. Rowling's writings from all in one handy place – with Harry Potter star Evanna Lynch joining a cast of four narrators.

A very exciting owl has dropped by with some news from Pottermore Publishing today, with the team announcing a freshly curated selection of J.K. Rowling's creative works.

Releasing in English on 29th August 2024, you'll be able to dig into 80 articles and anecdotes about the world of Harry Potter, including backstories on big characters and additional context on the stories you might not have known - all originally written by J.K. Rowling for and already hosted for free right here on

From the Wizarding Archive is available to pre-order now in English in eBook and digital audiobook formats. Framed by Pottermore Publishing-authored editorial, readers and listeners will be able to explore these well-loved articles in greater depth than ever before. This is also the first time that the content will be available in audio, exclusively on Audible.

You can watch Evanna talk about the project right here.

Each piece of writing will be linked together with some fresh editorial observations from the Pottermore Publishing team, alongside a heartfelt foreword from self-confessed superfan Evanna Lynch herself (AKA Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films).

And if you're unsure where to begin (this is a lot of information to get a handle on!) there is even a friendly infographic to help you find your wizarding world gateway.

Following the English language launch, the German, French, Italian and Spanish eBooks and audiobooks will be published in November with further languages anticipated in due course.

From the Wizarding Archive will be published as both a single volume audiobook and two-volume eBook. Volume One of the eBook will contain 45 articles curated together for the first time, with Volume Two containing the 35 articles that were previously published in 2016 as the ‘Pottermore Presents’ series of three eBooks. Fans will also be able to purchase both Volume One and Two together in a combined edition.

The main narration has been performed by Evanna Lynch, with Hugh Quarshie, Finlay Robertson and Lara Sawalha reading J.K. Rowling’s original articles, all of which will be delivered alongside enchanting sound design and original music composed by Sara Carvalho.

All author royalties will be donated by Pottermore Publishing to the Lumos Foundation on behalf of J.K. Rowling, expected to be a minimum of £1 (or the local currency equivalent) for each copy of From the Wizarding Archive sold.
