Dodge Bludgers, catch Snitches and learn some much-needed Quidditch skills with this new effect from YouTube Shorts, Quidditch Chase.

We always get FOMO watching the Quidditch scenes in the Harry Potter films, wishing we could be on our own broom (preferably a Firebolt) right up there with Harry and his team.

Thankfully, YouTube Shorts have come flying to the rescue with this fun new effect, where you can step into Harry Potter’s shoes, fly a broom and try and catch that all-important Golden Snitch. Oh, and to make things extra stressful, there will be a timer! And you can even film your reactions.

Speaking of reactions... qualified Seeker Tom Felton even had a go at the effect himself.

To play, you’ll (naturally) need a YouTube account – and then can test out the effect for yourself with the Creation Tool. Simply follow the prompt to “use the effect” and fly away.

If you’re old enough, you can take a look at the effect right here. And if you’re proud of your Seeker skills, you can share how you did! Make Oliver Wood proud.

This effect is to celebrate the launch of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, which you can learn about right here.
