A goblin who worked for Gringotts, Griphook was a prickly character who, like many other goblins, distrusted witches and wizards. He was the goblin that showed Harry to his vault on his first trip to the wizarding bank and warned him exactly what would happen to thieves who tried to break in. In a twist of fate, he also helped Harry, Ron and Hermione break into Gringotts nearly seven years after Harry’s initial visit, in return for the Sword of Gryffindor.
